BURN PERMITS
Panton's Fire Warden is Matt Fraley.
Even though we seem to have snow or rain weekly, fire danger is high due to strong winds, which dry the vegetation even when the ground is wet.
When fire danger is high, burn permits will only be issued in certain situations as determined by the Fire Warden.
You can check fire danger levels at https://fpr.vermont.gov/forest/wildland-fire/monitoring-fire-danger
You can contact Matt at (802) 759-2601 (H) or (802) 777-7972 (C).
