Listers
From the VLCT handbook for Vermont Officers, "[A lister is]. . . the official who is charged with determining the value of the real and personal property in the town on which the Select board will set the tax rate necessary to raise the money to pay for town services, the maintenance of town highways and the schools".
Because no Panton residents ran for the position of Town Lister in 2022 and the Selectboard could not identify three residents to appoint as Listers, the Selectboard appointed a contracted assessment firm, Real Capital Consulting, to perform the Lister function for the Town. Alyth Hescock of Real Capital Consulting is Panton's acting Assessor. He may be reached via email at Listers@pantonvt.us or by phone at (802) 377-3636.

Tax Parcel Maps
Panton has been divided into a grid of 10 equally-sized sections for mapping purposes. To find a parcel, first review this index file and see which section the parcel is in. Then, click on the number of the section to see that section of the map in greater detail. Each map has an index of the tax map id, owner of record from the 2019 Grand List and parcel id in the lower right. Hard copies of these maps in larger sizes are available for review at the Town Hall.
