How to vote

Ballots for the General Election are being mailed to registered Vermont voters through the Secretary of State's Office Election Division. Panton voters should expect to receive their ballot in the mail before October 7, 2022. You may return your ballot in one of several ways:

  1. To the clerk or assistant clerk at Town Hall during regular business hours. (M – Th 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
  2. In the secure official drop box in front of the flagpole at Town Hall 24/7. It is checked every business day. Ballots are moved to a locked ballot box inside Town Hall.
  3. By mail. The return postage is paid. Make sure you place your ballot in the fully filled-out certificate envelope and place it inside the postage-paid envelope.
  4. At the polls. In-person voting will be held on November 8, 2022 at Panton Town Hall, second floor, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you choose to vote in person, PLEASE bring the ballot you were mailed with you. If you lose or forget your mailed ballot, you will be asked to sign an “Affadavit of No Vote Cast” at the poll.

Please note that school ballots are not part of the Vermont State mailing, and you must request them from the clerk or assistant clerk or come to the poll on November 8th. See the General Election 2022 main page for details on the school questions.
