REQUEST FOR BIDS
for Panton Town Hall Exterior Painting
The Town of Panton is seeking bids for the painting of the exterior of Panton Town Hall, located at 3176 Jersey Street, Panton.
BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW
Panton Town Hall was built as a church in the 1850s and was purchased by the Town in 1931. From 2015 to 2107, the building was renovated, including a new cupola and modernized town offices on the lower level. Records show the exterior was likely last painted in 2013.
SCHEDULE
The Town seeks to have the exterior painting of Town Hall completed by September 1, 2023.
BID REQUIREMENTS
Once a bid is accepted, the winning bidder will be required to supply a performance bond equal to the amount of the bid.
Bids will be due at 4 p.m. on April 20, 2023 at the Panton Town Hall, 3176 Jersey Street, Panton, VT 05491. Bids may be submitted by email to clerk-treasurer@pantonvt.us.
SELECTION
Bids will be opened and reviewed at the April 24, 2023 Selectboard meeting. The Selectboard shall have the sole responsibility for determining the bid that it deems best meets the interests of the Town. The Board’s decision will be based upon considerations including price offered, the completeness of the bid, prior experience, and qualifications.
The Town of Panton reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept any bid deemed by the Selectboard to be in the best interests of the Town of Panton.

- Provide approximate dates of start and completion
- Provide evidence of certification to remove lead-based paint
- Provide proof of insurance
- Specify paint and any other materials to be used
