Little Free Library Comes to Panton
Panton now has its own Little Free Library, joining a network of over 100,000 world-wide. Built on the idea of “Take a book, leave a book,” this is your free neighborhood public bookshelf. There are a variety of books available for both children and adults. The goal is to promote a love of reading and a spirit of community. Panton’s Little Free Library was built by Howard Hall and roofed by Michael Catillaz as a gift to the Town. Stop by to check it out at the Panton Town Hall, 3176 Jersey Street.
The Town of Panton now offers a free WiFi hotspot available to the public outside the Panton Town Offices. Please use at your convenience during these challenging times.

COVID-19 Resources
*****
A Reminder from the Lake Champlain Basin Program: Please NO WIPES IN PIPES! As we work to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 spread, many people are using disposable disinfectant wipes. Whether your home is connected to a community wastewater system or to a septic system, these wipes are NOT made to be flushed (nor are baby wipes or toilet paper alternatives). Flushing wipes causes clogged sewer pipes, which can result in sewage system back ups, sewage in your home, and damage to community wastewater or home septic systems that can be costly to repair. This is true even for products that claim to be "flushable". Please dispose of ALL disinfectant wipes, baby wipes, and paper towels in your trash; only flush toilet paper.
*****
The Town of Panton is looking for people to fill the following vacant elected and appointed positions. These vacant positions will be appointed to fill the current term.
Open Elected Positions:
Auditor - (1) three-year term;
Auditor - (1) one-year term;
Open Appointed Positions:
Fence Viewer – (1) one-year term;
For more information regarding these vacant positions, please contact the Town Office at 475-2333 or e-mail Assistant Clerk Linda Devino at assistant@pantonvt.us. We look forward to hearing from you!
